Delaware Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction has embarked on an effort to fulfill The Great Commission; “going into all the world preaching the gospel” increasing Church of God In Christ presence and witness among the growing populations in the state of Delaware and surrounding communities.   

Department of Church Growth & Development will carry out Bishop Thomas Holsey vision for New Church Expansion, Existing Church Growth and Renovations, encouraging, promoting Mission, Outreach and Ministry Development in a three phase effort to promote salvation, healing and deliverance by the power of Jesus Christ. 

•New Church Expansion will include Bishop Holsey vision to build five new

"Jurisdiction Churches" operated by ordained Elders from within the jurisdiction who have demonstrated the leadership, discipleship and Church Management skills to grow Churches.  New Church Expansion will promote continued growth, carrying out the great commission throughout all counties of Delaware and the newly formed “James L Eure Memorial District”, under the leadership of Bishop James Eure, Jr.

•Church Growth & Development includes partnering with existing churches and ministries within the Jurisdiction, that desire to expand the Jurisdiction work, winning more souls to Christ.   Another phase of Church Growth will include a plan to renovate existing churches.  Church growth will include developing ministers, missionaries and elders in leadership, expanding ministry resources and current Missions, Outreaches and Ministries that compliment the jurisdiction vision of winning souls within the State of Delaware and surrounding communities. 

Missions, Outreaches & Ministry Development

The Jurisdiction plan will Identify lay, ministers, missionaries and elders who feel a call to start a new work and nurture, encourage and assist in the development of ministry visions to the fulfillment of the great commission.  The Jurisdictions will work with laity, ministers, missionaries and elders to develop viable, effective missions, outreaches and ministries. Equip them to be planters and then support them in finding a place where they might reach souls and be productive in the work of the ministry.
